Team 3 - Case Conference Conflict
At a case conference for a high school student, we are in conflict over the best course of action to support the student - we all bring the perspective of our own disciplines and feel that we each have the best ideas about how to help the student. We all feel that what we think about the student and want for the student is “correct” and are trying to force our solutions on the other members of the group without listening to, discussing or negotiating to incorporate everyone’s expertise. We are all too blinded by our own belief in our expertise that we don’t listen to those who have knowledge in other areas. We all care about the student’s well-being and want the best outcome.
