Group 4 Food Marketing


Group 4 Food Marketing Party Planner Bernadette is hosting an event to raise awareness for those suffering with Celiac disease. In order to support this fundraiser, Bernadette asks that those attending to bring a Gluten Free dish when they come. Unfortunately neither Bernadette or Viraj are familiar with a gluten free diet or understanding marketing labelling. They realize that some food labels are hiding information, some labels can be misleading or confusing, and some are deceptive forms of marketing. Upon preparing for the event, Bernadette and her shopping friend, Viraj, met with a registered dietitian to obtain more information on diet and labeling concerns. Discussion were had with both a food producer, and the retail staff to ensure the food items she chose were appropriate and to gain knowledge about product information and the gluten free lifestyle.
